Biography
Maria Olenick PhD, FNP, RN, Chair of Undergraduate Nursing. I did BSN 1994 ,Nursing Study in East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsburg, PA, I did My MS & FNP Certification in State University of New York, Binghamton, NY in the Year 1997, and I did my PhD Nursing in the year of 2012, Before joining Florida International University (FIU) as Assistant Director of Nursing and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Biscayne Bay Campus in 2011, I was Director of Clinical Skills and Simulation at a new allopathic (MD) medical school, The Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC), in Scranton, PA. Prior to teaching at the medical school, TCMC, I taught nursing at the University of Scranton as adjunct faculty. In 2014, I promoted to Chair of Undergraduate Nursing. I have previously been project director on an NWD HRSA funded project that extended from 2012 and just ended June 2015. HONORS and AWARDS: Zeta Iota Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Pi Alpha, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Vice President 2014-Present Featured story in Newsline for Nurse Practitioners publication Spring 2006. `
